ON “THE TRAITORS”

Philip Yancey said: “How easily we forget that the church was founded by disciples who betrayed their master. None was willing to stand by Jesus as the religious and political authorities condemned him to death. At his moment of greatest need, the disciples fled in the darkness. ON “CAUSE TO HEAR”

In Psalm 143, David expected to hear a decent word from God and asked that he would be caused to hear it. Maybe David thought about whether God was talking and he some way or another neglected to hear, so he asked, “Cause me to hear.” This is a decent supplication for all to ask. Definitely, He who made the ear will make us hear, He who is love Himself will have the thoughtfulness to bring His lovingkindness to us.
