In Psalm 143, David expected to hear a decent word from God and asked that he would be caused to hear it. Maybe David thought about whether God was talking and he some way or another neglected to hear, so he asked, “Cause me to hear.” This is a decent supplication for all to ask. Definitely, He who made the ear will make us hear, He who is love Himself will have the thoughtfulness to bring His lovingkindness to us.
