GOD’S GLORY BEFRIENDS YOU

GOD’S GLORY BEFRIENDS YOU

Dear friends in Christ,

Today, I invite you to meditate on the profound yet comforting truth that “God’s glory is befriending you.” What does it mean for God’s Glory to not just be around us, but to actively seek a relationship with us?

Let’s delve into the transformative moment in Exodus 33:18-23 when Moses asked God, “Show me Your glory.” God responded by placing Moses in the cleft of a rock and covering him with His Hand while His Glory passed by. Here we see a beautiful interaction between Divinity and Humanity —Moses is not merely a spectator of God’s Glory but is protected and embraced by it.

Jesus Christ, the Incarnation of God’s Glory, came into this world not merely to dazzle us with divine brilliance but to dwell among us and nurture a deep, personal relationship with us. John 1:14 tells us, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” Through Jesus, God’s Glory is not a distant celestial phenomenon; it is a palpable, intimate friendship.

Consider how Jesus interacted with people during His Ministry on Earth. He didn’t just perform miracles from afar; He touched the lepers, He broke bread with sinners, and He reached out to the outcasts. He befriended those whom society deemed unworthy. In these actions, God’s Glory was not just present but was actively befriending humanity.

How does this divine friendship manifest in our lives today?

First, through prayer and reflection, we cultivate an awareness of God’s constant Presence and His deep Desire to be in communion with us. Secondly, by engaging with Scripture, we engage with God’s Voice, learning and being transformed by His Words. Lastly, through acts of love and service, we become conduits of God’s Glory, allowing His radiant Love to shine through our actions.

When we accept God’s Invitation to friendship, His Glory not only becomes more evident in our lives but also extends through us to touch others. This friendship with God allows us to navigate life’s challenges with confidence, peace, and purpose.

As we go forth this week, may we continually seek and cherish this divine friendship. Let God’s Glory not just be an abstract idea, but a living reality that befriends, comforts, guides, and transforms us. Amen Hallelujah!

JESUS IS LORD
