ON “DESPAIR”*

With the Power of Ressurection working you believers, despair is never an option. We should ever be grateful for the reality of Jesus’ crucifixion, death, resurrection and second coming. When you reflect on all these events, for example, with the point of Jesus’ crucifixion, note that no matter how bleak it looked on that first Good Friday, the events of the following Sunday made all the difference in the disciples’ personality. The resurrection demonstrates to me as an individual that no matter how bad things might look right now, God has the power to change me, my condition, and change all that surrounds me. God remains in control, and as I look to Him, I can be assured that He will arrange the outcome according to His plan. Paul tells us this in Romans 8:28, but a few verses later in that chapter (Romans 8:38-39), he assures us of God’s love for us. Here is: “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39, KJV). Because of God’s power and love, we should never despair. That’s it!!!
