The new you dwell on receiving double-portion for all the shame is reversed! Here it is: “Instead of your shame, you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace, you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” (Isaiah 61:7, NIV). It would help if you did not let negative events, delinquency, failure, disappointment, addiction, divorce, bankruptcy, and other guilt become your identity. That’s what you did in the old you; that’s not who you are in the new you. That’s what happened to you; that is not your identity. Remind yourself, “I am who God says I am. I am approved, I am accepted, I am valuable, and I am a masterpiece.” You are a child of the Highest God. That’s it!!!
