Have you not heard that there are no shortcuts to sanctification? Sanctification is a lifetime advancement and growth in trusting God. Seeking a shortcut through spiritual experience will lead to a spiritual cul-de-sac. Attempting to please God in the courage of the old sin nature will meet with a deadlock. Searching deep for blessings in the wrong cisterns will lead to sacred dryness. There are no shortcuts to maturity, a lifetime growth in trusting God. Here it is: “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6). Sanctification is a lifetime gift for a lifetime benefit; therefore, continue to give yourself wholly to trusting God every time.
