ON “REAL FORMULA FOR SUCCESS”

If you are a Bible student, you will soon discover that it is essential to underline the formulas for success than address a definition for success. For David, the recipe is “… Obey everything written in the Law of Moses. Then you will be a success, no matter what you do or where you go” (1 Kings 2:3). It is not building up a kingdom with great armies or gathering wealth from other lands, or defeating enemies in battle; simply, it’s following God and obeying Him. For Solomon, the formula is “Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favour and good success in the sight of God and man” (Proverbs 3:1-4). For Jesus, the formula centre on two processes of loving God; loving God first and making that love for God manifest through engaging in the love of God with your neighbours. Meaning, to Jesus Christ, the formula for success is complete obedience to God’s gift of love and eternal life. Yes, the first step in this process is accepting the gift of eternal life offered by Jesus Christ (John 3:16). Oh yes, this is the primary of true biblical success. When the gift is received, transformation begins. The process is attained, not by human will, but by God’s Holy Spirit (John 1:12-13). Meaning, you are a success when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, and the Holy Spirit completely transforms your life to fulfilling and or satisfying the mind of God through Christ Jesus. That is why I said, what makes the actual definition of success can only be from the One who knows you in and out and understand all your works entirely. You are a success in Christ Jesus by obeying God and worshipping God according to the mind of Christ Jesus. Stay in the love of God; you are a success!
