1. “And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”

2 “But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

3 “For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.”

4 “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.”
