ON “QUOTES OF THE DAY”
1. “Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice! And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.”
2 “And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense. You shall not offer unauthorized incense on it, or a burnt offering, or a grain offering, and you shall not pour a drink offering on it.”
3 “And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from the altar before the Lord, and two handfuls of sweet incense beaten small, and he shall bring it inside the veil. And Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on it. Every morning when he dresses the lamps he shall burn it, and when Aaron sets up the lamps at twilight, he shall burn it, a regular incense offering before the Lord throughout your generations.”
4 “And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the 250 men offering the incense. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. One golden dish of 10 shekels, full of incense; Having the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron’s staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant.”
