ON “AN EXTENDED VALUE OF PRAYERS”

During year’s of discourse on the benefits of prayers, I like to share that we are not prayerful because we pray. Instead, we are prayerful. That’s why we pray!!! On reflection on Revelation 8:3-6: “A golden censer… the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God.” Prayer and incense are regularly interconnecting in the Bible. The thought is that, similarly as incense is valuable, charming, and floats to paradise and the heavens, so do our prayers. So here, before anything happens at the kickoff of the seventh seal, the petitions of God’s kin come before the Lord God. Essentially, the pleas of God’s kin set the coming fulfilment of history underway. Firmer, more remarkable than every one of the dim and strong forces let free on the planet, more impressive than whatever else, is the force of prayers set on fire by the fire of God and cast upon the earth. 2 Peter 3:10-12 indicates that there is a sense wherein we can hasten the Lord’s response by our heavenly lead and real lives. However, here we see that we can likewise urge the Lord’s coming through supplication, even as Daniel requested an immediate satisfaction of prediction in regards to hostage Israel (Daniel 9); we can and ought to likewise pray even in this way, come, Lord Jesus! (Revelation 22:20). It isn’t said that the heavenly messenger presents these petitions. He offers the incense, and the prayers ascend with it. The mounting of the incense shows that God accepted the supplications and offerings of His people. That’s it!!!
