ON “LIVING A GENEROUS LIFE”

Have you not heard that generosity with your money is one of the essential parts of your faith? Yes, to all Christians, generosity with our cash form a crucial path of our worship! Precisely, the lesson of the widow’s mite or the widow’s offering presented in the Synoptic Gospels (Mark 12:41–44, Luke 21:1–4) clarify the vitality of being generous – she gave it all. For example, you can begin to live generously by applying the biblical principle of tithing! Brady Boyd said: “I know of nothing that will transform someone’s spiritual life more abruptly than beginning to tithe. Suppose we want to learn about dependence on God, tithe. Suppose we want to have our treasure in heaven, tithe. Suppose we want to have any hope of having solidarity with the poor, tithe. Three principles sign-posted throughout the Scripture: Everyone should give as they’re able; Poor stewardship is not an excuse; God should always get our first and best; Giving is worship.” Can you now see that we are not ordinarily donors, but we are sincere worshippers? That’s it!!!
