Yes, from Old to the New Testament, repentance is genuinely the turning. Repent! Meaning,  turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices! Repent! Meaning,  turn away from all your offences! Repent! Meaning,  turn, turn from your evil ways. Such a turning characterises the call of the prophetic instruction. Therefore, repentance is in reality for turning! Turning your back upon sins, upon the wrongs; going ahead to lay hold of that for which Christ laid hold upon you. To repent is to reconsider it, to get some distance from the insidiousness. No one is ever denounced for the insidious things that he has done; he is convicted because he won’t leave them. Yes, repentance is all about turning and never to look back!!!
