So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.” (John 10:7) INDEED, “they will know that I am the LORD.”(Ezek. 36:38)

What contrast could be greater than that between the “I AM” and this title, “Door of the Sheep”? Here our Lord paints a picture and uses an allegory into which sheep, threefold, and shepherd are introduced. Jesus Himself, claimed a peculiar position, “The Door of the Sheep.” He is the door by which entrance is gained to heaven. “By Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved.” Put your hand upon the door – Jesus Christ on the Cross – and enter the fold. There is safety. There is liberty. There is food for the Sheep, and water and rest. Free from Satan’s snare, filled with joy and peace, what more could we ask or desire? Praise God!
