CAC Nigeria and Overseas at the Threshold of Divine Correction: Wandering Stars, Rebellion, and the Betrayal of the Covenant By Professor Ojo Emmanuel Ademola General Evangelist, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Nigeria and Overseas Founding Leader, Digital Gethsemane Global Network
The Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas stands today at a decisive moment in its prophetic journey. The Holy Spirit has been speaking with unmistakable clarity, warning that the era of ecclesiastical politics, factional manipulation, and deceptive dominance has come to an end. Since the culmination of the rebellion of the General Executive Council (GEC) against the constituted authority in 1990, the Church has endured decades of wandering stars—modern Pharisees, Sadducees, and Zealots—ravaging leadership, distorting history, and betraying the Calling of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola. These wandering stars have played politics with the sacred, manipulated documents, forcefully acquired Church buildings, and orchestrated factional dominance under the deceptive banner of “we are the mainstream, and we are more than them.”
But the Holy Spirit keeps saying that era has now closed. The numbers they rely on are fading. Their influence is evaporating. Their strategies are collapsing. Their dominance is ending. Politics in the CAC Nigeria and Overseas orchestrated by the GEC to dominate the Supreme Council has no place in the Kingdom, and as such, it cannot occupy until Christ comes in the Digital Era. The Kingdom of God does not sustain structures built on rebellion, deception, or manipulation. It sustains only what is rooted in truth, holiness, and covenant fidelity.
Wandering Stars: The Spirit of Pharisees, Sadducees, and Zealots in CAC Today
The factions within CAC—especially the GEC and the Supreme Executive—have behaved like the wandering stars condemned in Scripture. Jude describes such figures as “wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.” They are unstable, unpredictable, and spiritually dangerous. The Pharisees were obsessed with control, the Sadducees with political alliances, and the Zealots with forceful domination. These same spirits have manifested in CAC’s leadership struggles since 1990.
The Pharisaic spirit appears in those who manipulate doctrine and history to justify rebellion. The Sadducean spirit appears in those who form alliances with political structures to gain ecclesiastical advantage. The Zealot spirit appears in those who forcefully seize Church buildings, distort constitutional authority, and impose factional dominance. These wandering stars have ravaged leadership, scattered the flock, and betrayed the Calling of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola.
At the first CAC Nigeria and Overseas Lady Evangelists Training and Conference, during the inauguration of the CAC Lady Evangelists Central Choir, I warned the factions—especially the GEC and the Supreme Executive—that whoever rebels against the Calling ultimately betrays the Covenant. That warning stands today with even greater urgency.
Straightening the Record: Truth Must Replace Propaganda
It is time to straighten the record, because many people today are on the wrong side of CAC’s history. Truth does not change because of opinions, sentiments, or propaganda. Historical facts remain facts, regardless of how people attempt to rewrite or distort them. Those who genuinely seek the truth should examine history carefully, honestly, and objectively.
The Supreme Executive broke away in 2017. The GEC completed the foremost assault in 1990. These are historical facts. They are not opinions. They are not interpretations. They are not propaganda. They are documented realities.
By God’s grace, the authentic Supreme Council of CAC Nigeria and Overseas—having its Secretariat at 100 Adesola Street, Aperin Oniyere, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria—remains intact and remains the authentic Supreme Council. It is the root. It is the foundation. It is the covenantal anchor of CAC’s identity. People need to get this right and stand on the side of truth.
That is why I said, and continue to say: “Whoever rebels against the Calling ultimately betrays the Covenant.”
The Root and the Branches: A Covenant Analogy
Can anyone honestly say that the root broke away from the branches? No. It is always the branches that separate themselves from the root. The root remains the source, the foundation, and the lifeline from which the branches derive their existence and sustenance. The Supreme Council is the root. The GEC and Supreme Executive are branches that separated themselves. They are not the source. They are not the foundation. They are not the covenantal lifeline.
Jesus Himself taught that branches disconnected from the vine wither and die. He said: “Without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5). The same principle applies to ecclesiastical order. Branches cannot survive without the root. Factions cannot survive without covenantal authority. Rebellion cannot survive without truth. The Holy Spirit will not sustain what He did not establish.
Why Political Strategies Cannot Stand in This Age: Lessons from the Early Church
The political strategies of the GEC cannot stand today because they did not stand in the early Church. The physical era of the apostolic Church reveals that political manoeuvring, factional dominance, and administrative rebellion never survived the scrutiny of the Holy Spirit.
In Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphira attempted to manipulate the apostolic community through deception. Their strategy failed instantly because the Holy Spirit exposed their deceit. In Acts 8, Simon the Sorcerer attempted to purchase spiritual authority. His strategy failed because spiritual authority cannot be acquired through manipulation. In Acts 15, factional doctrine threatened to divide the Church, but the apostles upheld truth over politics. In 3 John, Diotrephes attempted to dominate the Church through administrative control, but John rebuked him sharply.
These examples reveal a consistent pattern: political strategies fail in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Factional dominance collapses under apostolic truth. Manipulation cannot survive divine scrutiny. Numbers do not determine legitimacy. Influence does not determine authority. Truth alone prevails.
This is why the political manoeuvring of the GEC cannot stand in this age. The Digital Era is an era of transparency, accountability, and spiritual awakening. It is an era in which the Holy Spirit exposes deception instantly. It is an era in which truth travels faster than manipulation. It is an era in which the Kingdom of God advances through righteousness, not politics. It is an era in which the Ancient Landmark must be restored.
Paul’s Rebuke to Corinth: The Evil of Divisions
In 1 Corinthians 1:10–25, Paul confronts the divisions tearing the Corinthian church apart. He appeals to them to speak the same thing, to reject divisions, and to be perfectly joined together in the same mind and judgement. Paul rebukes them sharply: “Is Christ divided?” His message was clear—division is carnality. Division is rebellion. Division is foolishness.
Paul’s rebuke applies directly to the GEC faction. Their refusal to yield to the Holy Spirit’s call for unity, truth, and repentance is a manifestation of the same Corinthian spirit of division. Their insistence on factional identity, their manipulation of history, their distortion of CAC’s constitutional foundation, and their unlawful occupation of properties reveal a leadership more committed to factional dominance than to the unity of Christ.
Paul declares that the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. The political strategies of the GEC are worldly wisdom. They are foolishness. They cannot stand. They cannot survive. They cannot endure. The cross of Christ exposes them. The Holy Spirit dismantles them. The Ancient Landmark rejects them.
My Prayer for CAC Nigeria and Overseas
My prayer is that wisdom will prevail over emotion, truth over misinformation, and unity over division. My prayer is that CAC Nigeria and Overseas will return to the Ancient Landmark. My prayer is that the wandering stars will repent. My prayer is that the branches will return to the root. My prayer is that the Calling will be honoured and the Covenant restored.
May the Lord grant CAC Nigeria and Overseas courage to stand for truth, humility to embrace repentance, and grace to walk in the light, so that the Church may rise again in purity, power, and prophetic integrity under the eternal Lordship of Jesus Christ.
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.
