Beloved brothers and sisters, as we gather today in worship, let us be reminded of the power of prayer and the strength we can find in God’s presence. We are encouraged to pray for the strength and empowerment we need to walk in obedience and to live a life that glorifies God in all things.

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus reminds us to “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.” Through prayer, we can find the wisdom and guidance we need to resist the allure of sin and to follow God’s path for our lives. It is through prayer that we can tap into the limitless power of God and receive the strength to overcome any obstacle that stands in our way.

As we seek to live according to His Word, we may face challenges and trials that test our faith. But we are not left to face them alone. God is with us, empowering us with His Spirit and giving us the courage to press on. We can trust in His unfailing love and His promises to sustain us through every trial and tribulation.

Let us, therefore, commit ourselves to a life of prayer and obedience. Let us pray for the strength and empowerment we need to walk in His ways and to honour Him in all that we do. May our lives be a testament to the freedom we have in Christ and the transformative power of His Word. Amen.
