Pray for steadfast faithfulness in following Christ, acknowledging Him as the source of eternal life and the ultimate guide for daily living.
From 1 Chronicles 10, 11, and 12, we can learn about the importance of being obedient to God, staying faithful in times of trouble, and coming together as a community to serve the Lord. These chapters recount the rise of King David and the unity of the Israelites under his leadership, showing us the power of God’s promises and the blessings that come with following His will.
In John 6:45-71, we see the disciples struggling to understand Jesus’ teachings, with some choosing to walk away. However, Peter’s response stands out as he declares, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.” This passage teaches us the importance of faith and trust in God, even when we may not fully understand His ways. It reminds us that true breakthroughs come when we fully commit ourselves to following Christ, despite the challenges we may face.
Overall, these passages emphasise the importance of obedience, faith, community, and trust in God’s promises for experiencing breakthroughs in our lives as Pentecostal Christians. Through studying and applying these principles, we can deepen our relationship with God and live out His purposes for our lives.
May we embrace the promises of God in times of adversity, seek breakthroughs through unity and strength in the Holy Spirit, interpret spiritual truths with wisdom and discernment, and apply practical teachings from Jesus for our daily living. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Chronicles%2013-15%2CJohn%207%3A1-27&version=NOG
PN 2). 1 Chronicles 13, 14, and 15 provide us with the story of King David’s attempt to bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. In these chapters, we see that David initially tried to transport the Ark on a cart, in a way that was not prescribed by God. This resulted in tragedy, as Uzzah, one of the men accompanying the Ark, was struck dead by God for touching it.
The story teaches us the importance of following God’s instructions and seeking His guidance in all that we do. It reminds us that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). As Pentecostal Christians, we are reminded to always seek the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives and follow His guidance, even when it may not make sense to us.
In John 7:1-27, we see Jesus attending the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. Despite warnings from His brothers to stay away, Jesus goes to the feast and begins teaching in the temple. This passage highlights the misunderstandings and scepticism surrounding Jesus’ identity and mission, with some people questioning whether He is the Messiah.
As Pentecostal Christians, we are reminded of the importance of trusting in Jesus and His promises, even when others may doubt or question us. Just as Jesus faced scepticism and opposition, we may also encounter challenges in our faith journey. However, we can take comfort in the fact that God’s promises are true and His plans for us are good (Jeremiah 29:11).
Overall, these passages encourage us to trust in God’s sovereignty, seek His guidance in all that we do, and remain steadfast in our faith even in the face of opposition. By following these principles and applying them to our daily lives, we can experience the fullness of God’s promises and walk in His blessings as Pentecostal Christians.
LET’S PRAY:
1. GOD’S PRESENCE: Thank You, Lord, for Your promise to be with us always. Grant us a deeper awareness of Your presence in our lives and in our gatherings.
2. GUIDANCE: Holy Spirit, lead us in all our decisions and actions as we seek to follow Your perfect will.
3. UNITY: Father, help us to be united as a body of believers, working together in love and harmony for Your Kingdom purposes.
4. SPIRITUAL VICTORY: Jesus, empower us to walk in victory over sin and spiritual battles, knowing that You have already overcome the world.
5. WISDOM: Heavenly Father, grant us wisdom and discernment as we navigate the challenges of life and fulfil our callings.
6. REVIVAL: Holy Spirit, ignite a fresh fire in our hearts and in our churches, bringing revival and renewal to our spirits.
7. BOLDNESS: Lord Jesus, embolden us to share Your Gospel with boldness and confidence, knowing that You are with us.
8. SERVICE: God, show us how we can serve You and others with humility and love, following the example of Christ.
9. FAITH: Increase our faith, O Lord, that we may trust You more fully and step out in obedience to Your Word.
10. LOVE: Help us, Holy Spirit, to love one another as Christ has loved us, showing kindness, forgiveness, and compassion to all.
May these prayer points be a source of strength, encouragement, and empowerment for Pentecostal believers as they seek to live out their faith and walk in the fullness of God’s promises. Amen.

PN 4). In 1 Chronicles 19, 20, and 21, we see accounts of battles, victories, and the consequences of sin. These passages remind us of God’s promises, His mercy, and the importance of obedience in the life of a Pentecostal Christian.
1. God’s Promise of Victory:
• “David thought, “I will show kindness to Hanun because his father Nahash showed me kindness.” So David sent messengers to comfort Hanun after his father’s death. But when David’s servants entered Ammonite territory to comfort Hanun” (1 Chronicles 19:2).
• Interpretation: God promises to give us victory over our enemies, whether they are spiritual or physical, when we trust in Him and seek His guidance. Also, we should be kind always.
• Application: As Pentecostal believers, we can have confidence in God’s Ability to overcome any challenges we face, knowing that He fights on our behalf and He will strengthen our hands and hearts of kindness.
2. God’s Promise of Strength:
• In 1 Chronicles 20, we see the continuation of the battles of David and his victory over the Ammonites. The chapter highlights the power and faithfulness of God in giving His people victory over their enemies. It reminds us that God is our ultimate protector and deliverer in times of trouble.
• Interpretation:
Seek God’s guidance: Before going into battles, David sought God’s guidance and direction. We should also seek God’s wisdom and guidance through prayer and studying His Word before making important decisions.
Give thanks to God: After every victory, David gave thanks to God for His faithfulness. We should also cultivate a heart of gratitude and continually thank God for His blessings in our lives.
• Practical Application:
Trust in God’s strength: Just as David trusted in God’s strength during his battles, we should also rely on God’s power to overcome the challenges we face in our lives.
By applying these principles to our daily lives, we can experience the faithfulness and power of God just as David did in 1 Chronicles 20.3.
3. God’s Promise of Forgiveness and Restoration:
• “No,” King David told Ornan, “I insist on buying it for the full price. I won’t take what is yours for Yahweh and offer burnt sacrifices that cost me nothin’” (1 Chronicles 21:24).
• Interpretation: David’s repentance and willingness to make a costly sacrifice demonstrate God’s Forgiveness and the importance of genuine repentance in restoring our relationship with Him.
• Application: Pentecostal believers should be quick to repent of sin, offering God sincere sacrifices of praise and obedience, understanding that He is faithful to forgive and restore us.
4. God’s Promise of Truth and Freedom:
• In John 8:1-27, we see a powerful story of Jesus showing mercy and forgiveness. In this passage, a woman caught in the act of adultery is brought before Jesus by the religious leaders who are trying to trap Him. They ask Jesus if she should be stoned, as the law commanded. Instead of condemning her, “When they persisted in asking him questions, he straightened up and said, “The person who is sinless should be the first to throw a stone at her.” .”
• This statement from Jesus highlights the importance of mercy, forgiveness, and grace in our lives as Pentecostal Christians. Just as Jesus did not condemn the woman, we are called to show compassion and forgiveness to others, even when they may not deserve it. We are reminded that we are all sinners in need of God’s mercy, and that we should extend that same mercy to others.
• Practical Application: As followers of Christ, we are called to imitate His example of mercy and forgiveness. We should strive to show love and grace to those around us, even when it is difficult. By practicing forgiveness and extending mercy to others, we reflect the love of Christ and demonstrate the transformative power of His grace in our lives.

2. Pray for victory over our enemies: “Father, we pray for victory over the forces of darkness and every enemy that comes against us, knowing that You fight our battles for us and give us the victory (1 Chronicles 20:26).”
