“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.”

In this homily, we reflect on the profound message of God delivering His People from bondage. Just as the Israelites were freed from physical slavery in Egypt, we are called to recognize the various forms of slavery we may face in our lives. Whether it be addiction, materialism, or idolizing false gods, God calls us to break free and place Him above all else. Let us remember that God is our ultimate deliverer who leads us from darkness into His marvellous Light.
