“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.”

In this homily, we are reminded of the importance of honouring God as the one true Lord in our lives. Just as the Israelites were given the commandment to have no other gods before Him, we are called to renew our Covenant with God daily. Let us reflect on the idols that may have crept into our hearts and minds, and make a conscious effort to put God first in all things. By choosing God above all else, we show our commitment to Him and experience the true freedom that comes from living in His presence.
