Good Friday is a day of hope and a significant day in the calendar for followers of the Way—that is, Christians, the believers in Jesus Christ—because it commemorates what we consider to be the most significant weekend in world history. Christians have held that Jesus’ death and resurrection represent the decisive turning point for all of creation ever since. According to what God had promised in the Scriptures, Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection on the third day were regarded as “of first importance” by Christians. (1 Corinthians 15:3). That’s it!!!
