ON “EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE”

I think you’ll concur that it’s not difficult to get so overloaded with the psychological weight brimming with agony and despair that we lose our enthusiasm and energy for living. Out-of-line things occur. Individuals hurt us, and we become outraged. We experience misfortune. We commit errors. We have a time of dissatisfaction. We weren’t intended to haul around the harshness, disdain, and anguish. However, time and again, we let those negatives characterise our lives. We open that old pack and see all the filthy stuff from some time ago. When you are overloaded with all that garbage, it isn’t easy to know where you’re going or to try and be prepared to arrive. That is why the Scripture tells us to “dismiss the loads that can without much of a stretch snare us” (Hebrews 12:1). The message today is that you have to dismiss the emotional baggage for you to enjoy the power of Redemption fully. That’s it!!!
