ON “MAKING THE MEMORIES OF FAILURE DISAPPEAR”

Have you not heard that the best way to handle the memories of failure is to let it go with the past? Some, however, struggle with letting go. Still, it is essential to emphasise that to move forward in life, you must move away from bad memories, particularly the memories of hurts, failures, and another negligence hurt we caused ourselves, or others forced us. A friend once told me how painful he felt because I did not call him on his 50th birthday to pray for him! Yes, for many years, I did not hear about it. I heard about it a few weeks before his 55th birthday, and I failed to make a reasonable effort to reach out on such things. My negligence hurt him significantly. When I heard about the impact of this failure on him, I was sorrowful and trusted God to have mercy on him and me. Can you relate? Do your losses glance large? The Scriptural Authority gives us hope for making the memories of our failure disappear with the past, and I quote: “For if He causes grief, Then He will have compassion in proportion to His abundant mercy. For He does not afflict willingly Or grieve the sons of mankind. To crush under one’s feet all the prisoners of the land.” (Lamentations 3:32-34, NASB). That’s it!!!
