ON “SERVING OTHERS”
In 1 Samuel 17, when David was in the shepherds’ fields, his Dad advised him to provide food to his siblings who were serving in the war zone. David might have said, “Samuel blessed me to be the next ruler of Israel, and presently you need me to be a task kid to siblings who disregard me? I don’t think so.” If David had been too glad even to consider serving others, doing what appeared to be insignificant, he wouldn’t have heard Goliath’s insult, killed the monster, and came to the highest position in the nation. It was a test he needed to pass. Had he not been dedicated to doing the little, he would have missed his fortune. Ensure you are faithful in the little that God requests you do; then, He will entrust you with additional and great responsibility. When you do the irrelevant thing, you may need to humble yourself and serve someone who doesn’t treat you right; then, at that point, the entryway will open to the enormous thing. Breeze through those assessments. It’s getting you arranged. God takes a good record of you when you serve others sincerely. That’s it!!!
