ON “A SENSIBLE CRISIS”

If people reject the church because they reject Jesus and the gospel, we should be saddened but not surprised. Regardless what happens when people refuse the church because they think the church has denied Jesus and the gospel? Functionally, if individuals reject the church as a community of believers since they reject Jesus and the gospel, we should be disheartened yet not shocked. In any case, what happens when individuals refuse the assembly since they think the congregation has dismissed Jesus and the gospel? Imagine a scenario where individuals don’t leave the Church since they object to Jesus, but since they’ve perused the Bible and have reached the resolution that the actual congregation would oppose Jesus. That is an emergency in the Church today. What do you discover?
