1. “Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us. Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

2 “Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.”

3 “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”

4 “May my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, like gentle rain upon the tender grass, and like showers upon the herb. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
