ON “YOUR NEIGHBOUR”
Etymologically, the word neighbour means someone who dwells near. Scripturally, your neighbour is someone you must love because of the love of Jesus for you and another. I draw mainly on the meaning of neighbour susceptible to nearness understanding via prayers! Lord Almighty, thank you for the opportunity to love one another. Allowing us to love our neighbours for a season or a lifetime is a gift we do not deserve. We can only love because you have first loved us. We ask you to open our eyes to the needs of those around us and grant us the courage to serve in ways that seem hard. Thank you for teaching us through the parable of the good Samaritan that you have called us to love all people and not just those that look, act, and think as we do. Mould our hearts to do your will. We love you so much. Amen. Glory to God! Hallelujah!!! We all have neighbours; they are an assurance in life, and it is a commission from the Lord to love these neighbours well. May it be our hearts cry to the Lord that we love our neighbours, just as He has loved us. That’s it!!!
