1. “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.”

2 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”

3 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

4 “Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began. And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, if anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all. In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember.”
