ON “THE SHEEP VALLEY”
Does it matter what you are passing through or what encounter you right now? Are you on the mountain top of life or valley deepest of daily experience? Indeed, the God of the mountain top is the God of the valley most resounding! Have you not hear Him saying to you: “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:2, NLT). Do you have any recollection of a sheep description of the true shepherd detailing in Psalm 23? You can disclose to anyone that this is a sheep’s representation of a shepherd. The sheep may wander, yet it realises that the shepherd will pull it back from the precipice. The shepherd discovers the sheep and feeds it with the soft/tender grass, not the dry stalks; a tranquil piece of the stream, not a seething part where the current could clear a creature away. How do you describe your God in difficult times? What pattern of Rescue do you expect? How do you respond when the Scripture doesn’t give a direct answer to your challenges? If you are a sheep, you can always see God as your Shepherd everywhere you find yourself! The LORD is our Shepherd, my dear friends! That’s it!!!
