ON “THIS SILENCE”

ON “THIS SILENCE”

At times, you need the time to be alone with God! Remember, there is much divide between being alone and loneliness. To be alone gives you a religious context to listen to God and yourself, homebody. You know what? You are unique and unrepeatable! You are distinctively made to function and enjoy the fullness of God in the land of the living. But, it would help if you can indeed describe yourself based on God’s given attributes! With this, you remain powerful, influential, and stay unrepeatable. Have you not heard that in repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength? Numerous sages at different time said one thing or another about silence. Is silence not a source of great power? Yes, silence is a source of great strength! Is silence not an answer? Yes, it’s completely packed with solutions! Sometimes you have to stay silent because no words can explain what is going on in your mind and heart! Erich Segal once said, “There was a brief silence. I think I heard snow falling! The great Prophet Elijah encountered the only one experience, just a place in Scripture where God is said to speak in a “still small voice,” and it was to Elijah after his dramatic victory over the prophets of Baal (1 King 18:20-40; 19:12). There is power in being alone to hear your Creator. That’s it!!!
