ON “MATERIALISM”

Alas, it’s increasingly difficult to deny the evident love of our generation for materialism; I mean, even the Church as a corporate institution and individuals as believing envoys of this age. Where’s Christ in today’s Christianity; Where is Holy Spirit in today’s Church; Where is Repentance when believers prayed for Forgiveness; Where is Regeneration in a request for Salvation; Where is God in our politics, and do we mention hell when pastors preach about heaven? What is prominent remains apparent that materialism systematically evades the space of what is faithful obedience, and humanity almost wholly submerged in the matter of worldliness. Remember, “A soldier refrains from entangling himself in civilian affairs, in order to please the one who enlisted him.”(2 Timothy 2:4, BSB). That’s it!!!
