ON “VIOLENCE”

ON “VIOLENCE”

Yes, violence in the hand of God is not synonymous with genocide and vengefulness! Violence is never glorified or encouraged in the Bible; in the New Testament, we can all see how the God of love in Christ Jesus changed the relational view of violence. There would always be punishment for sins and warfare to exhibit the absence of peace. God sent HIS Son to redeem whosoever believe that HE is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek HIM. A person who is diligently seeking after God will go to any length to find God and obey His word (Violence of love). Jesus teaches us that we must have this commitment to God, saying: “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul” (Matt. 16:24-25)? That’s it!!!
