ON “EXISTENCE OF THE EXISTENCE”

ON “EXISTENCE OF THE EXISTENCE”

In the sixth stanza of Emily Bronte’s poem: “Though earth and moon were gone And suns and universes ceased to be
And Thou were left alone
Every Existence would exist in there.” Apparently, the author recommends a fortune and future with God in which every part of our known world has vanished. There is no Earth or Moon. Neither is there “suns and universes.” All of these bodies have “ceased to be” but God has not. His “Existence” would hold all that was lost: “And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, for the glory (splendor, radiance) of God has illumined it, and the Lamb is its lamp and light.” (Revelation 21:23 AB)
