ON “WHAT IS BETTER?”

ON “WHAT IS BETTER?”

Have you not heard that “a little with righteousness is better than huge incomes without righteousness?” (Proverbs 16:8). At times the individuals who are honourable in this world have little of the material solaces of this world. In contrast, somebody who has extraordinary riches (tremendous incomes) yet little righteousness is more terrible off than the nobleman or lady who has little materially in this world. Vast revenues without justice can never give a calm inner voice, opportunity from blame and sin, the adoration and delight of God, and huge different things the upright appreciate. It isn’t that the main two choices in life are to have either little with righteousness or vast incomes without equity. It’s that when those two choices are analysed, the first is better. Was not the widow of Zarephath more generous with her inadequate charge than Jezebel in her illustrious clothing? Ask yourself, if godliness is staggering wealth in this life, what will it be in eternity? That’s it!!!
