ON “THE PURCHASE PRICE OF WISDOM”

Why is there in the hand of a fool the purchase price of wisdom (Proverbs 17:16). Undoubtedly, Wisdom has a price. In this context, a fool could be a joke. Solomon envisioned a fool who was prepared to address that cost. It’s about reasonableness, and readiness to pay. Scripturally, the price of wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. The price of wisdom also includes modesty and eagerness to receive correction. The fool has no enthusiasm for acquiring wisdom in the manner that it must be gotten. Since a joke has no heart for it: It would be peculiar to discover the price of wisdom in the hand of a moron, since then that individual would presently don’t be a fool. The idea of the fool requires that they have no heart to pay the price of wisdom. That’s it!!!
