ON “SLOW TO ANGER”

The beauty of wisdom always shine through character!  Proverbs repeatedly advise us to be ‘slow to anger’ (Proverbs 14:29; 15:18; 16:32). Painstakingly study the Scriptures thoughtfully and prayerfully, you will soon discover the reasons why anger must be spiritually controlled. Give close consideration to the events in Scripture when Jesus got angry (which are not many), and something will promptly leap out at you. He never lost control over what somebody did to Him. He never fought back or lashed out at individuals who violated Him. Indeed, even as His killers, those who nailed Him to the cross, He asked, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do”(Luke 23:34 KJV). Truly stunning, right? That’s it!!!
