Similarly, Christ Jesus never speak about recognising our neighbour but about being a neighbour ourself, about proving yourself to be a neighbour, something the Samaritan showed by his compassion. Choosing a lover, finding a friend, yes that is a long, hard job, but your neighbour is easy to recognise, easy to find – if you will only know your duty and be a neighbour, you fulfil the need to be a neighbour and know your neighbours as well. That’s it!!!
