ON “WONDROUS THINGS”

These days people pray for various things including new revelation. Do you need a new revelation? I say no, but you need to see wondrous things in God’s written words. Even the psalmists didn’t need new revelation! However,  every believer needs to see the real revelation as written. You didn’t need new eyes; you need to see more clearly with the eyes you already had. Yes, I mean for you to see wondrous things from the Bible. Indeed, there are extraordinary things in Scripture; but they can only be seen when God opens the eyes. Meaning, that prayer is an integral part of our daily Bible exploration. Agreed, not everyone sees the wondrous things in God’s word, but when you do, consider it as evidence of God’s blessing and favour. Jesus celebrated that God disclosed His wisdom this way: At that time Jesus answered and said, “My Father, Lord of heaven and earth, I am grateful that you hid all this from wise and educated people and showed it to ordinary people.” Matthew 11:25 CEV.
