ON “THE LOVE FOR FRUITFULNESS”
There is a legend about a lady who appealed to God for persistence. In answer, she didn’t get anything, however inconvenient. She, at that point, said to the Lord, “I didn’t petition God for the inconvenience, I appealed to God for tolerance.” The Lord addressed her, “By what other means will you learn persistence, or even realize you make them develop?” in the affection for God with its attending satisfaction and harmony is conceivable just as we let the hard things of life try that adoration. Thus the devotion bears the product of collected tolerance, thoughtfulness, and tenderness.
