ON “SILENCE”

Not many would like to consider silence as one of the most profound disciplines of the spirit simply because it puts the stopper on all self-justification. Mostly, people want to fix things even to fix others! Indeed, one of the fruits of silence is the freedom to let God be our justifier. We don’t need to straighten others out. In other words, silence is probably the most profound order of the soul essentially because it puts the plug on all self-support. One of the products of calm is the opportunity to leave God alone as our justifier. We don’t have to fix others. That’s it!!!
