ON “MILLSTONE AROUND ONE’S NECK”

Something that hauls one down and keeps one from accomplishing things. Jesus instructs that youngsters are particularly valuable to Him. He expresses that for the individuals who harm or degenerate them it would be better if a grindstone were stuck around their neck and they were thrown into the ocean. The topic proceeds in Revelation where the writer utilizes a similar term for the evil city of Babylon. “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which belief in me, it were better for him that a millstone was hanged about his neck, and that he was drowned in the depth of the sea.” Matthew 18:6 KJV see also Mark 9:42; Luke 17:2; Revelation 18:21-22
