ON ‘THE AMEN”

ON ‘THE AMEN”

Convincingly, Jesus is the Amen! If someone is trying to persuade you to give up on your goals, settle for less than what is in your heart; no matter how gifted, intelligent, expertise, they are not for you. Do not come to a consensus with that impeded vision. Wait for the right person. We are all believing for a concept or invention to come to pass, praying for a circumstance to turn around. We are standing in faith, trusting that…

ON “PASTORAL OFFICE”

ON “PASTORAL OFFICE”

Have you not heard that there are pastors who failed to enter by the door? “He that entereth not by the door”. Christ assures us, John 10:7, that He is the door; whoever, therefore, enters not by Jesus Christ into the pastoral office is no other than a thief and a robber in the sheepfold. He whosoever enters not by Jesus with a possibility of any other interest besides that of Christ and His people. Yearning, covetousness, love of ease,…

ON “QUOTES OF THE DAY”

1. “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” 2 “Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. I also shook out the fold of my…

ON “YES AND AMEN”

ON “YES AND AMEN”

The scripture says, “All of God’s promises are yes and amen.” When God puts a promise in your heart, and you believe it, you have the yes. Now, find the amen, someone to agree with you. Listen to Jesus saying to you now, “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.” (Matthew 18:19, NLT). You have your yes; kindly find the amen!…

ON “THE DOORKEEPER”

ON “THE DOORKEEPER”

According to John 10:3, in towns of that time, sheep from many flocks were kept for the night in a common sheepfold, overseen by one doorkeeper who regulated which shepherds brought and took which sheep. “To him, the doorkeeper opens:” In the spiritual drawing, Jesus spoke of the door for the sheep terrace had a doorkeeper – one who watched who came in and who went out. Reflect on this: “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand…

ON “QUOTES OF THE DAY”

1. “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him, the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the…

ON “THE DOOR”

ON “THE DOOR”

Yes, John 10:2 confirms there is a door that remains the door! The idea is that there is a door, a proper way to gain entry. Not everyone who stands among the sheep comes that way; some climb up some other way. The religious leaders earned their place among God’s people – the sheep spoken of here – through personal and political connections, formal education, ambition, manipulation, and corruption. At this point, Jesus is not speaking about heaven. His analogy…

ON “SHEPHERD’S VOICE”

ON “SHEPHERD’S VOICE”

During World War I, a few warriors attempted to take a group of sheep from a slope close to Jerusalem. The resting shepherd stirred to discover his group being driven off. He was unable to recover them forcibly, so he shouted to his herd with his unmistakable call. The sheep tuned in and got back to their legitimate possessor. The warriors couldn’t prevent the sheep from getting back to their shepherd’s voice. That’s it!!!

1. “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.” 2 “Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth….

ON “LIFE AS A GRANT”

ON “LIFE AS A GRANT”

Do you remember the word of Jesus, and I quote: “I have come that they may have life, and they may have it more abundantly:” Jesus said this to contrast His shepherd-like care with treacherous and illegitimate leaders. They come to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. Jesus comes to bring life to His people. Yes, it now means Jesus gives His own a lot of life! That’s life as a grant that comes to us abundantly. “The Greek…
