ON “NATURAL BEAUTY”

ON “NATURAL BEAUTY”

Rachel Carson said: “I am not afraid of being thought a sentimentalist when I say that I believe natural beauty has a necessary place in the spiritual development of an individual or a society. I believe that whenever we destroy beauty, or whenever we substitute something manmade and artificial for a natural feature of the earth, we have retarded some part of our spiritual growth.”

ON “THE NEVER-ENDING MERCY”

ON “THE NEVER-ENDING MERCY”

Yes, God’s mercy never ends. Yes, His mercy is ever available and accessible to His people. Fundamentally, this never-ending mercy centres on Yahweh’s grace, His loyal love, His covenant love for His people. Whatever our consideration of covenant aspect from the word, mercy; God’s mercy is everlasting, and ever available for you and me. Call it love, kindness, compassion and the likes, by nature and its extension, God’s mercy never ends. That’s it!!!

ON “OUR WILL”

ON “OUR WILL”

Not writing a legal will could have significant consequences, especially where human fail to remember what the future holds. That’s not what I mean here, I mean, a believer attempt to enforce in whatever way his or her will on God for action. What a stunning, when we repeatedly in prayers or meditation, day and night speak with terms of our words, “Lord, thy will be done.” But then when God’s will occurs, we are enraged and don’t care, for…

ON “THY WILL BE DONE”

ON “THY WILL BE DONE”

Meister Eckhart said: “We deafen God day and night with our words, “Lord, thy will be done.” But then when God’s will does happen, we are furious and don’t like it a bit. When our will becomes God’s will, that is certainly good; but how much better it would be if God’s will were to become our will.”

ON “ARE WE GOOD?

ON “ARE WE GOOD?

Since we are made in God’s image (Genesis 1:26-27), we know something of what is good. Be that as it may, we are fallen (Romans 5:19), and our insight into what is good is debased. However, our whole idea of good is established in God and His goodness. The individuals who question God’s goodness do so as such as indicated by some standard of what is good and what is disgusting or evil. The very presence of that standard interfaces them to…

ON “HE ALONE IS GOOD”

C. H. Spurgeon said: “He is good beyond all others; indeed, he alone is good in the highest sense; he is the source of good, the good of all good, the sustainer of good, the perfecter of good, and the rewarder of good. For this he deserves the constant gratitude of his people.”

ON “THE OUTCASTS”

ON “THE OUTCASTS”

Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt said: “Jesus went directly to those who were outcasts. He much preferred to associate with the “sinners” than with those who proudly set themselves apart. Jesus shared the lot of the downtrodden because God himself loves those rejected by society, those the world deems unworthy. God wants to help all people, and raise the dignity they possess to the light.”

ON “GOODNESS”

ON “GOODNESS”

Is it goodness me? Gracious, always express gratefulness to the LORD, for HE is good: As in Psalm 136 offers gratitude and recognition to God for His integrity, that is, HE is good The way that God is good is crucial to all that He is and does. We realise that God is love, and that adoration is a declaration of His goodness that decently cannot change. God is good yesterday, today, and evermore. Yes, this is a great motivation…

ON “BREAK THE GRIP OF FEAR”

ON “BREAK THE GRIP OF FEAR”

Stop this fear! Yes, fear has numerous agenda with faces, and none of them had its source in the goodness of God. Indeed, we all experience the sentiment of distress at some point in our lives. We may not realise how many of our decisions are controlled by uncomfortable perceptions or inferred schemes that keep us from trusting God. At every stage of experiencing fear, I say to you: break down every doubt and fully keep your faith in God…

ON “FOR SAKE OF PEACE”

ON “FOR SAKE OF PEACE”

Thomas à Kempis said: “But if Christ is amongst us, then it is necessary that we sometimes yield up our own opinion for the sake of peace. Who is so wise as to have perfect knowledge of all things? Therefore trust not too much to thine own opinion, but be ready also to hear the opinions of others. Though thine own opinion be good, yet if for the love of God thou foregoest it, and followest that of another, thou…
