Beloved friends, as we gather here today, let us take a moment to reflect on the incredible calling that we have received as followers of Christ. We have been chosen, set apart, and called to a life of purpose, meaning, and eternal significance. We have been entrusted with the message of Salvation, the world’s light, and the hope of glory. In all life, always be on the Lord’s Side. Indeed, this is an incredibly holy calling upon us all.

Consider the words of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Ephesians: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10) We are not here by accident or coincidence, but by divine design. We have been uniquely crafted, gifted, and uniquely called to serve God’s Kingdom here.

As we navigate the complexities of life, encounter the trials of faith, and strive to live out our calling in a broken world, let us remember that we do not walk this path alone. God is with us, His Spirit is within us, and His Love surrounds us. We are empowered by His Grace, sustained by His Mercy, and strengthened by His Presence. Therefore, embrace our calling with Humility, Gratitude, and Boldness.

Let us be a beacon of light in a world of darkness, a source of hope in a time of despair, and a living testament to the transformative power of God’s Love. Let us live justly and mercifully, reflecting His Character in our interactions with others. Let us be the hands and feet of Christ, the voice of truth, and the embodiment of love wherever we go.

May we always be on the Lord’s Side, dear friends, for in doing so, we fulfil the holy calling placed upon our lives – to be ambassadors of His Grace, vessels of His Love, and witnesses to His Kingdom. Let us rise to the challenge, embrace the journey, and walk in the footsteps of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
