1. “The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble. But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.” 2. “The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.” 3. “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.” 4. “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
