My dear brothers and sisters, today’s Scripture reminds us of the powerful promise of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 1:8, Jesus said to His disciples, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes to you. Then you will be my witnesses to testify about me in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” The power that Jesus spoke of is not just any power, but a divine, supernatural power. It is the power to overcome fear, doubt, and temptation. It is the power to love holistically, to forgive endlessly, and to serve selflessly. It is the power to bring hope to the hopeless, to bring healing to the broken, and to bring light to the darkness. Let us open our hearts to the Holy Spirit, allowing His power to transform us into instruments of God’s love and mercy. As we go forth, let us be willing to be witnesses of His love, welcoming His power to guide us and empower us to fulfil the mission that He has entrusted to us. That’s it!!!
