SAUL’S EYE —THE WEIGHT OF UNHEALED LEADERSHIP
Beloved, the Scripture declares in 1 Samuel 18:9: “And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.” This was not a glance—it was a gaze of insecurity. Saul’s leadership was no longer about the people—it became about protecting his own fragile throne. Insecurity turned kingship into control.
Today, we must learn: insecure leaders are dangerous. They do not build—they barricade. They do not release—they restrict. As children of divine mercy, power, and covenant fulfilment, we are called to provide security for others. We must give more than we take. We must lead from the mystery within, not the fear without.
