🔥 “Full-Fat-Faith” and the Gen Z Mandate: A Call to Apostolic Awakening in CAC

In an age of spiritual dilution and doctrinal compromise, the phrase “Full-fat-faith” rises as a prophetic standard rather than a mere slogan. It embodies the Gospel in its richest form—the unfiltered message of CHRIST Crucified, the Apostolic Fire that ignited the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) movement, and the renewal theology that stands firm against cultural convenience.

As the General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Nigeria and Overseas, I feel compelled to share an urgent message that goes beyond mere reflection; it is a passionate call to action. The future of our faith hinges on the engagement of the next generation, particularly Generation Z. It is crucial that they are immersed not only in the surface-level teachings of the Gospel but are instead embraced by its profound depth and transformative power.

This generation faces unprecedented challenges and distractions in a world filled with superficial entertainment that often mimics spiritual truths. We must ensure that they are not merely entertained by the shadows of the Gospel but are invited to experience its full richness and weight. Genuine baptism into the teachings of Jesus must become our priority—helping them to understand, internalize, and live out the principles of the Gospel in their daily lives.

Only through this deep, authentic engagement can we instil resilient faith and empower them to be true ambassadors of Christ in a world that desperately needs hope and guidance. Let’s rally together to nurture this vital connection to the heart of the Gospel for the sake of future generations.

🕊️ Understanding “Full-Fat-Faith” in the CAC Tradition

“Full-fat-faith” embodies a deeply rooted belief system that calls for absolute dedication and inspires significant change in the lives of its followers. This faith is energized by a fervent connection to the Pentecostal movement, which has its historical roots intertwined with the remarkable revival that took place in the 1930s under the auspices of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola. This revival is marked by remarkable miracles, powerful healings, and an unwavering commitment to spiritual integrity, all of which serve as a foundation for this robust belief.

At the heart of “Full-fat-faith” is the conviction that the Cross transcends mere symbolism; it stands as the essential altar of transformation where believers can encounter profound spiritual renewal. This perspective invites members of Generation Z to approach their faith as more than just a guide for living or a set of moral principles; it encourages them to recognize Christ as the ultimate sacrificial Lamb who embodies love, redemption, and selflessness.

This approach challenges young believers to delve into the depths of their spirituality—calling them to experience faith in its most authentic and dynamic form. It is a rallying cry to fully engage with their beliefs, to not just dip their toes into faith but to immerse themselves entirely in the transformative power it offers. In this journey, they are invited to witness undeniable signs and wonders that reaffirm their commitment to a life of unwavering holiness and radical transformation.

This faith transcends mere belief; it embodies a profound commitment to personal and communal renewal. It requires a theological framework that reshapes not only one’s identity but also sexuality, purpose, and worldview, all through the transformative lens of Christ crucified and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.

The origins of CAC reflect a rich heritage that has evolved significantly over time. Today, this dynamic faith community is experiencing unprecedented growth and vitality, particularly evident within the Remnant movement in Nigeria and its outreach beyond national borders. The Remnant movement is characterized by its bold initiatives focused on spiritual revival and unity among believers. Through fervent worship, collective prayer efforts, and a heartfelt commitment to evangelism, this movement is making a lasting impact in contemporary society, rallying individuals around the message of hope and renewal in their faith.

🔥 Youth Conferences: Apostolic Platforms for Gen Z Baptism

In the CAC landscape, youth conferences have evolved into a tradition, spanning locations like Ikire, Ikeji-Arakeji, Lagos, and even diaspora gatherings. However, these events often feel more like ceremonial rituals rather than genuine apostolic experiences that foster deep faith. It raises an important question: Are we providing Generation Z with a shallow understanding of theology, or are we immersing them in a robust and complete faith?

The Remnant movement stands out by advocating for revival and unity among various factions, insisting on the importance of coming together despite institutional divides. It emphasizes the need for young leaders who are unapologetic about their faith, encouraging them to boldly share the Gospel in both digital platforms and physical gatherings. Additionally, the movement calls for a commitment to doctrinal purity and spiritual fervour, rather than a focus on merely imitating motivational trends.

The Remnant movement stands out by actively connecting with the next generation, driven by a sense of urgency, clarity, and prophetic conviction. In contrast, other CACs continue to pursue their own leadership agendas without the same level of engagement.

🌍 The Remnant Mandate: Revival and Unity as Apostolic Imperatives

The Remnant movement within the CAC shines brightly with its passionate focus on Revival and Unity—characteristics it sees as vital spiritual missions rather than just political agendas. Revival here means igniting the Apostolic Fire within individuals, especially among the younger generation, rather than yearning for days gone by. On the other hand, Unity is celebrated not as sameness, but as a divine alignment of purpose that nurtures a true oneness in the Body of Christ across the diverse factions of CAC. This vision inspires a vibrant community, ready to embrace a hopeful and united future.

This movement plays a crucial role in the contemporary religious landscape by serving as a prophetic voice that boldly challenges any compromises or deviations from core beliefs within the faith. It strives to provide theological clarity that not only honors but also deeply respects the rich heritage of Pentecostalism. Furthermore, the movement utilizes an innovative digital strategy to effectively reach and engage Generation Z, ensuring that its message resonates with younger audiences while upholding a strong commitment to doctrinal integrity.

At the heart of this initiative is a spirit of reconciliation, which serves as the foundation for its mission. This focus on healing emphasizes the importance of collaboration and unity, seeking to bridge the existing divides within the Christian Apostolic Church (CAC). By fostering open dialogue and mutual understanding, the movement aims to create an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives can coexist, ultimately strengthening the community as a whole.

🔥 Exegetical Theme: The Weight of the Gospel and the Apostolic Mandate for Gen Z

In 1 Corinthians 2:2, Paul presents a powerful and prophetic declaration, emphasising the significance of Christ Crucified amidst the Corinthian culture, which was heavily influenced by philosophy, performance, and spiritual confusion. By using the Greek word “ἐσταυρωμένον” (estaurōmenon), meaning “crucified,” in the perfect tense, Paul highlights the event as a completed action with enduring impact. His determination, expressed through the term “ekrina,” reflects a deliberate spiritual stance rather than a mere preference. This serves as a vital example for today’s generation, reminding us that true faith—referred to as Full-fat-faith—must be grounded in an unwatered-down doctrine that embraces the full weight of the Cross with conviction and clarity.

Renewal Pentecostal theology fundamentally begins with the Cross, positioning it as the central element of atonement, identity, and apostolic commissioning. It is crucial for Generation Z to understand that the Gospel transcends being merely a lifestyle brand; rather, it represents a profound transformation from death to life. The legacy of the CAC is characterized not by motivational rhetoric but by a cruciform perspective, emphasizing that genuine revival must commence at Calvary. This directive serves as a rebuke to superficial spirituality, urging the Church to return to its apostolic roots centred on Christ Crucified.

The text emphasises that Generation Z is called to embody a powerful, transformative faith reminiscent of the apostolic fervour demonstrated by Paul. It urges this generation to embrace deep convictions rather than settling for convenience, to carry a genuine passion for Christ rather than relying on superficial relevance to culture, and to boldly proclaim Christ’s sacrificial message rather than conforming to cultural trends. Within this context, the Remnant movement of CAC Nigeria and its global counterparts is seen as divinely positioned to cultivate a generation that is fervent in truth, lives in purity, and fosters unity in the Church under the Cross.

The message emphasises the importance of revival and unity within the various factions of the CAC. Drawing from the teachings of Paul, it highlights that division among members undermines the core message of Christ. Instead of promoting individual interpretations, Paul preached the unified message of the crucified Lord, which serves as a guiding principle for CAC Worldwide, CAC Supreme Council, and CAC Nigeria and Overseas to follow. The call for revival and unity, championed by the Remnant movement, is framed not as a political manoeuvre but as a reflection of Pauline teachings. Ultimately, the Cross is presented as the pivotal altar where divisions dissolve and a renewed collective spirit is ignited.

The essence of the message can be captured in the exhortation to focus solely on Jesus Christ and His crucifixion, as emphasized in 1 Corinthians 2:2. This scripture serves as a guiding principle for the Church, calling for a deep and unwavering commitment to the core of the Christian faith. It inspires unity among believers, particularly targeting the younger generation and urging church leaders to centre their teaching and outreach around this foundational truth. By embracing the theme of “Full-fat-faith,” the Church is invited to let the message of Christ crucified ignite passion, promote togetherness, and define its mission.

✍️ Final Exhortation: Let the Fire Fall Again

To witness a generation immersed in vibrant faith, we must boldly preach the profound message of Christ Crucified and transform our youth gatherings into sacred altars, moving beyond mere entertainment. It is essential to empower Gen Z to carry the Apostolic Fire into all areas of life, responding to the prophetic call of the Remnant movement. This will foster unity within the Church and reignite the flames of revival.

Let the CAC in Nigeria and abroad rise with true spiritual strength, ensuring the Remnant’s voice resonates as a prophetic trumpet, uniting rather than dividing. We must encourage Gen Z to embrace the fullness of the Gospel, discarding diluted messages and embracing profound truth. The time for this transformation is now, and we must fervently pray for the revival fire to ignite once more.
