🔥 The Remnant Principle: GOD’s Unchanging Strategy

Throughout history, God has consistently preserved a dedicated group of individuals known as the Remnant, uniquely positioned to combat spiritual decay in various generations. From Noah, who stood firm in a corrupt world filled with moral degradation, to Elijah, who cried out against the widespread apostasy of his time, and the faithful few during Israel’s exile who maintained their devotion amid trials, the concept of the Remnant signifies not just a numerical rarity but a profound commitment to holiness and consecration.

These Remnants are not defined by their size or visibility, but rather by their unwavering devotion to God’s purpose. When God raises these individuals or groups, it is always with the intent to fulfil His divine agenda, regardless of the obstacles that may arise from the human sphere. Political resistance, societal compromise, or even stagnation within church institutions cannot thwart the divine mission carried forth by those who are genuinely sanctified and called.

In the context of today’s CAC, this timeless principle is being vibrantly re-embodied. The movement of the Remnant is not merely a reaction to the current climate of spiritual lethargy or moral compromise; it is a divinely orchestrated response prompted by the Holy Spirit to the challenges of lukewarm faith, disunity, and erosion of sound doctrine.

Revival and unity are essential for the Church to thrive, as they complement each other in the pursuit of God’s Glory. The CAC Remnant movement represents not just a spiritual awakening, but a divine reformation that emphasizes several key aspects. It calls for doctrinal purity, urging a return to the unaltered Word of God, where Scripture transforms culture rather than bending to it. There is a need to reignite spiritual fervour through prayer, fasting, and prophetic intercession, reminiscent of the dedication displayed by previous generations. Additionally, the movement seeks to foster ministerial integrity by developing leaders who serve rather than perform, prioritizing prophetic roles over celebrity status. Finally, it envisions a united community that bridges generational divides, bringing together the old and young in shared Spirit, Truth, and Vision.

Divine Preservation and Purpose  

God’s unwavering commitment to His Remnants is deeply rooted in His Sovereign will and His faithfulness to the Covenant. This steadfast relationship reflects His divine purpose and promises, ensuring that those who remain faithful to Him are upheld and supported through all circumstances. His Sovereignty governs every aspect of their existence, while His Covenant serves as a binding promise that guarantees protection, guidance, and blessings. Through these principles, God demonstrates His unchanging love and loyalty, assuring His Remnants that they are never alone in their journey of faith.

“Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.” — Romans 11:5  

This verse emphasises that the Remnant is not a random occurrence or a mere coincidence; rather, it is a group that has been intentionally chosen by God to fulfil a significant role in His Redemptive plan. This election highlights God’s Purposeful design in selecting individuals who will carry forward His Agenda of Salvation and Restoration for humanity. The chosen Remnant serves as a vital link in the unfolding narrative of Redemption, acting as instruments through which divine Grace and Truth can be manifested in the world.

Spirit-Empowered Witness  

Renewal Pentecostal theology emphasises that the process of revival is deeply integrated with the empowerment provided by the Holy Spirit. This perspective holds that genuine revival is not merely a series of emotional or spiritual experiences, but rather an operation of the Holy Spirit that ignites renewed faith, transforms lives, and revitalises communities. The belief is that the Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in equipping believers, enabling them to experience profound spiritual awakening and engage in transformative action within their churches and the wider world. This empowerment is seen as essential for a true revival, as it fosters deeper connections with God and encourages the manifestation of spiritual gifts among believers.

“But ye shall receive power, after that the HOLY GHOST is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me…” — Acts 1:8  

The Remnants are far from being passive observers; rather, they are dynamic, Spirit-filled witnesses who actively engage in the mission at hand. Fuelled by their faith and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, they are compelled to proclaim the truths of the Kingdom with boldness. These individuals not only share their beliefs through words but also demonstrate the values and principles of the Kingdom through their actions. “And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations…” — Isaiah 58:12

The leading of the Holy Spirit further enriches this unity, as it encourages us to seek divine wisdom, support, and love in our relationships, ultimately creating a harmonious community united in faith and purpose.

“Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” — Ephesians 4:3

In both CAC Nigeria and its international congregations, these individuals are often compared to the voices crying out in the wilderness, as they prepare the way for the Lord’s Work. Their conviction and determination echo the biblical narrative of Gideon’s 300, who stood firm against overwhelming odds and societal expectations to restore a sense of divine order amid chaos.

Unyielding in their resolve, the Remnants refuse to be muted by worldly pressures or the status quo. They embrace their roles as catalysts for change, willing to confront and challenge established norms that contradict their beliefs. Through their bold actions and unwavering faith, they aim to inspire others and foster a renewed spirit of hope and purpose within their communities.

What is happening is larger than a local movement. It is a global declaration of GOD’s Glory, reverberating through the teachings, principles, and spiritual heritage of CAC Nigeria and its overseas branches. These vessels are being positioned divinely as conduits of truth, healing, and transformation—channels through which the fire of Pentecost will once again ignite across nations.

As this consecrated community strengthens in spiritual stature and resilience, they will become torchbearers of hope, heralds of faith, and ambassadors of divine love.
