A Kairos Moment for the Christ Apostolic Church
The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Nigeria and Overseas, rooted in the fires of revival and sustained by the power of prayer, prophecy, and holiness, stands today at a significant crossroads. Since the painful split in 1990, the church has faced decades of division, legal disputes, and spiritual fragmentation. However, amidst this brokenness, a prophetic voice continues to resonate—namely, that of the late Pastor E. H. L. Olusheye, who, before his passing, called for a return to unity, truth, and adherence to the foundational covenant established in the 1985 Certificate of Incorporation.
This is not just a call for administrative reconciliation but a divine invitation for spiritual restoration. The grace once bestowed upon the early church fathers, including the anointing to pray over water for healing and cleansing, is not lost. It is waiting to be rediscovered by a rising remnant—a generation of believers and leaders who yearn for the glory of the latter house to surpass that of the former.
Now is the kairos moment—a divinely appointed time—for CAC Nigeria and its overseas branches to return to their roots, reclaim their unity, and prepare for a fresh outpouring of revival. The eagles are gathering, and the Spirit is stirring. The time for truth, healing, and unity is now.
The Anointing of the Waters:
In the early days of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), the community witnessed a series of remarkable events characterized by miracles and signs. These occurrences often arose from simple acts of faith, such as praying over water. They were not mere superstition but illustrated the manifestation of divine power through obedience and faith. Guided by divine inspiration, the first General Evangelist, Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, utilized these practices to bring healing to the sick, deliverance to the oppressed, and purification to those who were defiled.
This grace represents spiritual purity, serves as a channel for healing, and calls for holiness. Praying over water is a tangible expression of faith, reminding us that God’s power can work through the simplest elements of creation. This practice brings people closer to God, fostering a deep sense of reverence and dependence on His divine intervention.
In today’s context, the church must rediscover this grace not as a ritual, but as a profound act of faith. The anointing of the waters is a call to return to the fundamentals of our faith—trusting in God’s power to heal, restore, and cleanse. It serves as a reminder that God’s miracles are not limited to the past; they are available to us today if we approach Him with hearts full of faith and obedience.
The Blood of Jesus serves as the ultimate source of cleansing and redemption. It purifies us from all sin, as highlighted in 1 John 1:7, and facilitates our reconciliation with God according to Colossians 1:20. Moreover, it has the profound power to break every curse and bondage, as emphasized in Revelation 12:11. Through this sacred blood, believers find complete restoration and freedom.
The church must rediscover this truth, not only in doctrine but also in practice. It must return to a faith-filled, Spirit-led ministry that believes in God’s supernatural power to heal and restore. The Blood of Jesus is the ultimate source of cleansing and redemption. Through His sacrifice, we are made whole, and through His blood, we find the power to overcome every obstacle and challenge.
In a time of division and conflict, the church must unite under the banner of the Blood of Jesus. This powerful force transcends all differences and leads us to a place of unity and harmony. The Blood of Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith, and through His blood, we gain the strength to advance together in unity and purpose.
A Prophetic Call for Healing and Unity:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray…” — 2 Chronicles 7:14
This is an urgent message to all CAC members, pastors, elders, and leaders—both in Nigeria and around the globe:
– Lay down pride and pick up the cross of reconciliation.
– Return to the 1985 foundation, our identity’s legal and spiritual anchor.
– Embrace the remnant, not as rebels, but as restorers.
– Unite in prayer, in humility, and in truth.
The call for healing and unity is not just about ending division; it is a call to return to God’s heart. It urges us to humble ourselves, seek His face, and turn from our wrongdoings. We must recognize that we are one body, united by one Spirit, and called to share one hope.
The path to healing and unity starts with repentance. It begins by acknowledging our failures and seeking God’s forgiveness. We must commit to loving one another as Christ has loved us. It requires a determination to set aside our differences and collaborate for the common good.
The Path to Revival:
Revival will not occur through programs or personalities. It will come when:
– Truth is honoured above tradition.
– Unity is pursued above personal gain.
– The Holy Spirit is welcomed above all else.
Let the eagles gather. Let the watchmen cry out. Let the church arise—not as factions, but as one body, under one Lord, with one mission.
Revival is a sovereign move of God, but it requires our cooperation. It requires us to create an environment where the Holy Spirit is welcomed and honoured. It requires us to be people of truth, integrity, and humility. It requires us to be united in purpose and mission.
The path to revival is a path of surrender. It is a path of laying down our agendas and seeking God’s will. It is a path of prayer, fasting, and intercession. It is a path of obedience and faith. It is a path that leads to the outpouring of God’s Spirit and the transformation of lives.
One Church, One Mission, One Future:
The Christ Apostolic Church was never meant to be divided. Its foundation was laid in prayer, its walls built with holiness, and its mission fueled by the fire of the Holy Spirit. Though the storms of division have raged for decades, God’s promise remains: He will heal, He will restore, and He will revive.
Let every leader, every assembly, and every believer hear the call: Return to the covenant. Return to the cross. Return to one another. Let the healing waters flow again—not just over bodies, but over the broken body of Christ. Let the Blood of Jesus cleanse the wounds of pride, ambition, and disobedience.
This is not the end of CAC—it is the beginning of a new chapter. A chapter of unity. A chapter of revival. A chapter where the remnant becomes the restoration.
One Church. One Mission. One Future.
