Dear friends in Christ, today I want to remind you of the powerful truth that when we honour God with our lives, we become His Friends and close associates. Just as Abraham was called a friend of God, so too can we cultivate a deep and abiding friendship with our Heavenly Father through our daily actions and choices.

Think of your life as a grand tapestry, woven with threads of love, faith, and obedience to God. Each word spoken in kindness, each act of service, each moment of prayer – all of these are threads that contribute to the beautiful tapestry of a life lived in honour of God. And as we weave this tapestry, we draw closer to Him, becoming His Friends and Companions on the journey of faith.

In John 15:14-15, Jesus tells His disciples, “You are my friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you servants anymore, because servants do not know what their master is doing. Instead, I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything that I heard from my Father.” Let us strive to be friends of God, honouring Him with our words and actions, and walking faithfully in His light each day. May our lives be a testament to His Glory, and may we find joy and fulfilment in the wonderful friendship we share with our Heavenly Father.
