My dear brothers and sisters, today we gather to reflect on the transformative power of God’s grace and mercy when we choose to serve others with love, in the spirit of Christ. It is said that greatness is not measured by what we have, but by what we give. As we strive to become great in the eyes of God, let us remember that our true greatness lies in our willingness to serve and uplift those in need, for in doing so, we are truly reflecting God’s love and compassion.

When we look around us, we see a world filled with suffering, loneliness, and despair. It is easy to become consumed by our own worries and struggles, but it is in reaching out to help those less fortunate that we truly shine as beacons of God’s love. As followers of Christ, we are called to be His hands and feet in a broken world, to bring hope to the hopeless and light to those in darkness.

In serving others with God’s love, we not only bring comfort and relief to those in need, but we also open ourselves up to receive the abundance of blessings that flow from God’s grace. It is in giving generously of our time, resources, and talents that we begin to understand the true meaning of greatness – a greatness that comes not from power or prestige, but from humility, compassion, and selflessness.

Let us, therefore, not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap a harvest of blessings if we do not give up. Let us look for opportunities every day to serve and help those in need, knowing that in doing so, we are sowing seeds of love, kindness, and mercy that will bear fruit in our own lives and in the lives of others. May God grant us the strength and grace to be His hands and feet in this world, spreading His love and light wherever we go. Amen.
